Who is the Centre for? The Centre for Ecotherapy is a community space, available to anyone who would benefit from being in a healing natural environment. We offer regular therapeutic activities for groups, individuals and volunteers. Ecotherapy & Horticultural therapiesWelcome to the Centre for Ecotherapy, Stanmer Park, BrightonThe Centre for Ecotherapy provides support for vulnerable people in the local community, aiming to improve and maintain well-being through the use of nature-based and horticultural therapies, mindfulness and practical activities.
Located at Stanmer Park on the outskirts of Brighton, this not-for-profit social enterprise comprises two large areas of land - an organic allotment garden and an organic wilderness area populated with trees, shrubs and plenty of wildlife. The Centre's services include:
We also offer volunteering opportunities for students, practitioners and members of the community who are keen to share knowledge, skills and energy with others in a beautiful nature-rich setting. We are able to offer both our outdoor spaces for the use of organisations and therapists wanting to take classes or groups, such as yoga and tai chi, group talking, art or drama, outside into Nature. |

What we offer Ecotherapy and Social and Therapeutic Horticulture
Regular weekly drop-ins. Person-centred group or individual activities tailored to need. Training workshops 2019 1-day Introduction to Social and Therapeutic Horticulture (multiple dates) 1-day Introduction to Ecotherapy (multiple dates) Specialised courses for therapists, students and practitioners available on request. Activity sessions for groups Healing ecotherapy or horticultural activities designed for any client group. Team Building/Staff Respite Days Bring your staff/team/department to the Centre for Ecotherapy for some envigorating community engagement and ecotherapy. Go away refreshed and inspired. Bespoke programmes 6, 8 and 10 week projects aimed at and designed specifically for specific client groups. Personal Ecotherapy consultations One-to-one ‘signposting’ sessions with an experienced personal consultant.
